Mrs. Tamara Smith-Moyler

Math Specialist

Welcome to the wonderful world of mathematics!!

I look forward to working with every child here at Sherwood Forest in order to ensure that all students have access to relevant and meaningful mathematics.

What's New This Year?

In 2009, the Virginia Department of Education adopted new mathematics standards.  The standards are now in effect beginning with the 2010-2011 school year.  These standards can be viewed on the Virginia Department of Education website by clicking the Virginia Department of Education Resources link on the left side of the screen.

If you have any questions or concerns about mathematics, please feel free to contact me at tdsmith@nps.k12.va.us.

100th Day of School!!

Sherwood Forest focused on kindness and caring this year for it's 100th day celebration.  We celebrated 100 Acts of Kindness to others, strived to collect 100 canned goods per class, and created 100 cards per grade level for local nursing homes.  The culminating activities were the 100th Day Parade, 100th Day Assemblies and LOTS of 100th Day activities.  What a wonderful celebration we had!!

100-der Woman is here to celebrate the 100th Day!!

Over 2,100 canned goods were collected for our 100 Cans for Hunger Campaign!

100 Acts of Kindness were celebrated by students and staff.
