 MEAC College Fair

Sophomores are invited to a college fair and luncheon sponsored by the MEAC Conference.  The MEAC includes the following universities:  Norfolk State, Hampton, Howard, Florida A & M, Bethune-Cookman, Savannah State, Noth Carolina Central, Morgan State, Delaware Stae, University of Maryland - Eastern Shore, South Carolina State, North Carolina A & T, and Coppin State.  Sophomores can obtain a permission slip from the school counseling and guidance office.

Maury Students Claim Awards in Rotary Club Essay Contest

Congratulations to Melanie Books, Jafar Cooper, and Deja Mills for earning awards in the Rotary Club essay contest.  The essays are based upon the students' job shadowing experiences with members of the Norfolk Rotary Club. Melanie shadowed Dr. Edward Lilly, a Norfolk Physician who also works with Physicians for Peace.  Jafar shadowed Internal Physician, Dr. William Gough, and Deja shadowed Bob Heely, Vice President for Development of Westminister Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay. Each of the winners received $50.00 and recognition from the Norfolk Rotary Club for their essays.

Scholarship Saturdays

Dr. Susan Sigler, Maury Scholarship Chair, will conduct Saturday sessions to provide individual students and their parents help in submitting applications for scholarships.  The next sessions are scheduled for March 16th and March 23rd.
